Don’t worry! If you are a regular high school student, a student of the IB/Alevel system, or a social examinee, you can still apply for and take the AP exam in mainland China even if your school is not an AP test site!

- Where is the test site?
The May 2025 SMOA offline test site is in Shanghai. After you have successfully registered, you will receive AP exam registration information in your College Board account, so check the test site information.
- How to register? What is the deadline?
Any student who is officially registered and enrolled in our SMOA online US High School AP credit course can apply for the corresponding AP subject exams organized by the mainland test sites in May 2025, 2026 or in the future through us.
Registration for the May 2025 AP exams close on October 18, 2024. SMOA’s AP administrators will enter the application information of all confirmed AP examinees into the CB system before the deadline, after which examinees can log into their CB accounts to pay the fees and confirm their registration for the exams.
- What subjects can be applied for?
SMOA’s mainland test sites can apply for a very comprehensive range of AP subjects, in addition to the common: AP Physics 1/2/Physics C Mechanics/Electricity & Magnetism, AP Biology, AP Chemistry, AP Calculus AB/BC, AP Environmental Science, AP Computer Science A / Principles of Computer Science, AP Psychology, AP English Literature & Composition, AP Macro & Microeconomics, etc., but also can be examined on the market uncommonly a lot of subjects, such as AP Art History, AP Thematic Studies.
- Are there any additional fees?
No! Students taking AP subjects at our US Online High School, SMOA, have completed their registration for this year’s AP exams at this stage.
Including our U.S. high school diploma students, as well as students taking our online AP credit courses, they can easily register through us, pay the AP exam fees to the College Board normally, and after confirming the successful registration, they will be able to sit for the corresponding AP subject exams in SMOA’s AP test sites in mainland China.
