Course Syllabus(For Reference Only)

Physics will guide you through understanding on the fundamental concepts and theories that relates everything in nature and enhance how students perceive the physical world. This provides a thorough grounding and understanding of how nature is physically and beautifully interconnected, that eventually, help them prepare themselves as an independent learner. The content is taught through various intellectually stimulating strategies and activities that will be engaging with authentic applications on the content. Pacing will be tailored on how the students grasps the topic and continue to progress until fully contextualized. Further, facilitating a thoughtful group discussion and personal introspection, formulating their own ideas, and, ultimately, to assist them in developing their ideal self.

In this class, students participate in daily practice and exercises in solving problems, engage with our discussion, as well as explore their own ideas and interests. Eventually develop skills to learn and retain an understanding of Physics they can apply in academic and everyday endeavors.

The course aims an in-depth study of all the fundamental concepts of Physics in which students use their abilities to draw conclusions, organize knowledge, and test through experimentation as they explore the role of science in everyday life. Specifically, the course aims to: 1. ) Provide students with opportunities to connect their knowledge of Physics and other related fields to issues that have a societal or technological components (e.g., concerns, technological advances, innovations) to help them become scientifically literate citizens. 2.) Provide opportunities for students to develop, record, and maintain evidence of their verbal, written and graphic communication skills through laboratory reports, summaries of literature or scientific investigations, and oral, written, and graphic presentations.

Beyond the general knowledge acquired, the students will be applying the skills that will help them critically analyze, and understand the data and trends to apply wisely to make informed decisions.

Students will also be prepared to take the AP Physics Exam.

Course Design

The course content is organized into commonly taught units. On completion of the course, students should be able to:

demonstrate an understanding of the following:

Kinematics

Dynamics

Circular Motion and Gravitation

Energy

Momentum

Simple Harmonic Motion

Torque and Rotational Motion

Electric Charge and Electric Force

DC Circuits

Mechanical Waves and Sound

2. develop skills of hands-on laboratory work with an emphasis on inquiry-based investigations.

3. write reports and which address the question(s), which are supported with researched, referenced evidence.

4. point out, understand, and take notes on the main ideas and key details when listening to lectures and presentations.
