Mr. Allan Bowers
Mr. Allan Bowers is the Dean at St. Mary’s - Pinghu Campus in China and has been teaching for 14 years. After he received his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry he worked in the Chemical pharmaceutical industry before returning to complete a Bachelor of Education. Mr. Bowers started his career teaching high school science for the Near North School Board in Ontario Canada coaching award winning science fair teams at regional/provincial and international levels before making the leap into international education. He first taught in the United Kingdom before moving to China where he has been teaching since 2012.
Allan has a wide variety of interests and unique skill sets including: playing music on Trumpet, Bagpipes (As a piper in the 49th RCA field Support Unit) and saxophone, French horn, Euphonium, sailing, astronomy, archery, and rocketry.
Outcomes
Students are able to use lecture and experimental evidence to explain the arrangement of the elements in the periodic table and that they are able to apply periodic and chemical properties.
Student are able to explain how data sets support the findings of the relative experiments.
