Mr. Allan Bowers
Mr. Allan Bowers is the Dean at St. Mary’s - Pinghu Campus in China and has been teaching for 14 years. After he received his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry he worked in the Chemical pharmaceutical industry before returning to complete a Bachelor of Education. Mr. Bowers started his career teaching high school science for the Near North School Board in Ontario Canada coaching award winning science fair teams at regional/provincial and international levels before making the leap into international education. He first taught in the United Kingdom before moving to China where he has been teaching since 2012. Allan has a wide variety of interests and unique skill sets including: playing music on Trumpet, Bagpipes (As a piper in the 49th RCA field Support Unit) and saxophone, French horn, Euphonium, sailing, astronomy, archery, and rocketry.

To empowers learners to employ biological skills in solving real life problems and also emphasizes the link between human activities and the environment. Students acquire knowledge and skills of inquiry that help them to examine critical issues that arise in their own lives and in the public domain, to contribute to debate and make informed decisions about their own health and well-being and that of the society.
The skills will be learnt through practical application and understanding of biological concepts.

Course Outcomes

Students were able to analyzed situation based on its application from the subject matter being discussed in class (Scientific Method)

Students were able to gained confidence in explaining organisms based on its fundamental characteristics and behavior.

Students were able to explore activities in the laboratory for further depinning of knowledge and its practical application
