The dual enrollment program jointly developed by St. Mary's School Online Academy (hereinafter referred to as SMOA) and the University of Maryland Global Campus (hereinafter referred to as UMGC) is a credit course at the U.S. university level, including U.S. university general courses and professional courses, mainly for high school students who intend to study in the United States for undergraduate studies. The textbooks use the official textbooks of U.S. universities, and the professors are well-known experts in their field(s) of study, from the University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC).
All courses adopt the U.S. higher-education model, allowing students to earn real university credits whilst at the Secondary School level. These credits are recognized by many well-known universities in North America and around the world, including the University of Maryland, College Park, ranked #59 in the latest "U.S. News and World Report," National Comprehensive University Rankings in 2022.
